The artist on the piece: “I painted this piece to reflect on who I am becoming as I enter my 39th year and to discover more about myself. Even though I express my flamboyant and lively personality through my art and energy, I also need to have some introspective and introverted tendencies to rejuvenate my energy and continue producing my best work. The bottom part of my artwork depicts the harsh and unpleasant sides of being human in this world, whereas the top part shows what we usually present to the world.”
